We have a Bristol office at Boxworks & Engine Shed in the heart of Bristol’s tech cluster. Locating at the office is not a requirement and we are very remote-friendly and will provide support for working remotely.

Full-stack developer

What you’ll be doing at Payaca

You’ll be working on our web and native apps building new features and functionality to help businesses promote their services and run as efficiently as possible. We’ll soon be focusing on payment features utilising open banking to create faster and simpler ways to take payment.

You will also work on our lending platform providing access to the best lenders on the market who meet our strict customer-friendly criteria. You’ll focus on outstanding user experiences and help match the borrowers with the best financial products. We’re also connecting to new sources of data to provide the fairest and simplest service available. You will gain exposure across the technology spectrum including front-end, back-end, CI/CD and testing.

About you

We’re looking for a highly motivated developer who wants to build a world-class product. An eagerness to always be evolving and learning new techniques and technologies is a must. For this role, we welcome applicants who are looking to develop their experience as a full-stack developer.

Requirements for the role

You’ve had exposure to HTML, CSS & JavaScript and been employed in a software development role for at least a year.

Empathy – As part of a small team you’ll work closely with various stakeholders and customers. You’ll be expected to take time to develop solutions that take everybody’s view into consideration.

Great communication – You must be able to clearly communicate with others and translate decisions into clear, goal led tasks.

An eagerness to learn – You must be keen to learn new technologies and aspire to maintain a codebase that implements modern practices whilst being realistic and stable.

Preferred (but not essential)
  • Use of modern JavaScript such as ES6+
  • Experience with React Native
